300-branches-in-300-days

As a real estate services provider and wholly owned subsidiary of UniCredit Bank AG, HVB Immobilien AG is modernising about 300 HypoVereinsbank branches in record time. Altogether, a three-digit million sum will be invested in the refurbishment.

In 2014 an extensive modernisation of the retail banking business was launched with the aim of creating a modern mix of branches and alternative consulting and service channels by the end of 2015.
To do this, the bank is among other things making substantial investments in the redesign of all its branch offices.

The large number of locations simultaneously undergoing renovation, and the short average time of just four weeks allotted for each renovation, requires well-designed and standardised processes. In 2014 around 80 locations were refurbished; and the average for 2015 has been one branch in the new look for every working day. As a result, all HypoVereinsbank branches will be furnished in a uniform style.

Brightly lit rooms and attractive furnishings ensure a feel-good atmosphere in the new branches, which are sport high-quality technical fittings, and extras such as Wi-Fi for customers in flagship locations.

As Germany’s first multi-channel bank, HypoVereinsbank offers personal customer care in state-of-the-art local branches all over Germany, or via the new HVB Online Branch, where customers can also receive support via a permanent, personal contact on the internet, by phone, email or video consultation during much longer opening hours.

Each consultant station in the redesigned branches will be equipped with an option to place video conference calls to experts on a given topic during the consultation meeting.

In March, HypoVereinsbank had introduced the new "HVB Financial Concept" interactive consultation portal, giving customers even more transparent, professional and high quality advice. The consultant goes through every step of the consultation with the customer on the screen, ensuring the greatest possible level of transparency and traceability.
