Schönefeld: growing with its region

Growing with the east: Central and eastern Europe is growing fast, and one reason why is the accession by Poland and seven other of the region´s countries in May, 2004 to the EU. That´s good news for greater Berlin, which is located just to the west of the German-Polish border.

The CEE´s growth, in turn, is greater for Europe´s air transport industry, for Schönefeld airport, and for the companies clustered around it.

Growing without delays: Superhighways (A113, A10), highways (B96, B96a, B179) and rail lines make sure this ever-greater number of companies, their personnel and their employees get to and from Schönefeld without delay and aggravation. Berlin´s S-Bahn - regional rail - is particularly popular with the region´s workforce.
